Optimizing your Website: Use your page code
Ensure you describe the content of individual site pages in each page's code. Give the page a title which matches the H1 tag.
For example, in the code you may have
<title>So you want to try your hand at making money online?</title>
This can also be your H1 ie your most important heading:
<h1>So you want to try your hand at making money online?</h1>
You also need to ensure your page description is relevant to the content and although not all search engines use them, it does no harm to include some choice, appropriate keywords in the keywords description:
<meta name="DESCRIPTION" content="Making Money Online"/>
It can help search results if the description matches your page url, ie in this case the url is "http://www.bmums.com/making-money-online.htm"
<meta name="KEYWORDS" content="making money online, tips for making money online, website optimisation, how to optimise you website..."/>
